The 50% deposit protects the artist’s time & material costs invested.

Artists calculate their deposit so that both parties enter the agreement with fair protection. The remaining 50% is due upon completion & final review of the piece.

A commission is a purchase of a custom service. You are receiving a piece of art of equivalent value in return. As such commission payments are not tax deductible charitable contributions.

75% of the commission goes to the Artist. 25% goes directly toward gep’s child empowerment mission.

A Certificate of Authenticity is a permanent record that confirms the work is an original piece created by the named artist.

It legitimizes the piece, protects its value, and documents its history as a commissioned work through gep.

Available mediums vary by artist. Each artist profile lists their mediums & specialties. If they offer commissions, there will be a “Order a Commission” button on their profile.

No problem. Simply let us know in your commission request form and gep will review your vision and match you with the artist best suited to bring it to life.

Absolutely. Each Creative Collective artist has a dedicated profile featuring a short bio, their mediums & links to their personal portfolio and social media for artwork.

We encourage you to explore their full body of work before submitting a request. The more familiar you are with an artist’s style, the better your commission experience will be.

Every commission is unique and timelines vary depending on the complexity, size & medium of the piece.

Your timeline will be agreed upon by you and the artist before the commission agreement is signed so there are no surprises.

gep recommends requesting progress checkpoints at 50% and 100% completion so you stay connected to the process throughout.

Artists reserve the right to decline a commission request for any reason: availability, capacity or simply feeling that the vision isn’t the right fit for their creative voice.

If an artist declines your request, gep will work with you to identify another Creative Collective artist who can bring your vision to life.

Yes, and we encourage it. gep suggests requesting two checkpoints during the creation process, approximately 50% completion & 100% completion before final approval.

If you’d like progress checkpoints please include that request in your commission form so it can be documented in your agreement.

If the completed piece genuinely does not match what was agreed upon in your commission agreement you have the option to decline the final payment.

In doing so you forfeit your rights to the piece. It remains with the artist who retains the deposit as compensation for their time & materials.

The commission agreement exists to protect both parties. Which is why we take care to document every detail of the scope before work begins.

Shipping, handling & insurance costs are payed for by the purchaser and are included within the total cost of the commission.

Artwork is shipped directly to you by the artist once gep has received all payments.

gep coordinates the entire process so you have one consistent point of contact throughout.

Shipping timelines vary depending on the size of the piece, packaging requirements & your location.

gep will share tracking information with the purchaser once the artwork has shipped.

All commissioned pieces are required to be insured during transit. In the rare event of damage gep will document it immediately and work with all parties to navigate the insurance claim process.
